Detectives in Dunstable are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 26-year -old man was attacked by three men and assaulted on Friday afternoon.
The incident took place at around 4.45pm as the victim was walking close to Chiltern Road in Dunstable.
A grey car stopped nearby and three offenders – described as black men with light skin or Asian men - jumped out of the vehicle and began assaulting the man before one of the offenders stabbed him in the torso with an unknown implement.
The three offenders then got back into the car and fled the area. A member of the public came to the aid of the victim and called a taxi to take the man to hospital where the police were informed of the incident.
The victim’s injuries were minor and he was released from hospital that night.
Detective Constable Emma Morgan, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the assault taking place. She would also like to speak with the member of the public who came to the man’s aid.
