A pensioner recovering from a stroke fell victim to a conman who asked for money to buy copper piping to fix a leak.
The conman left the flat at Clarkes Way in Houghton Regis, when he was disturbed by carers of the 74 year old on September 13.
She later found a small amount of cash had been taken from her purse
Detective Constable Scott Hannam, investigating, is keen to trace the man shown in CCTV footage in the complex at the time of the offence.
