Students across Central Bedfordshire are celebrating their A level results, with some students excelling. Initial indications are that the pass rate this year has remained high at around 99%. This is similar to the high level set by last year’s results.
Central Bedfordshire schools report that students have gained places at a wide range of universities to study a variety of subjects with many students achieving A* and A grades. Redborne Upper School in Ampthill has a record 7 students going on to Oxford and Cambridge, which is a fantastic achievement.
Cllr James Jamieson, Leader of Central Bedfordshire Council, said:
“I am delighted that so many young people from Central Bedfordshire schools have achieved such excellent A level results, to set them on course for fulfilling their future education or career ambitions.
“The results are a testament not only to the students themselves but also to their families and teachers. I wish our school leavers every success in the future.”
This year we’ve created a special page on our website www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/youthsupport - there’s lots of information and also links to places that can provide advice and support for young people on what to do next.
