South West Beds MP Andrew Selous has welcomed a further fall in the number of unemployed people claiming job seekers allowance in the area.
In November, there were 1,977 unemployed JSA claimants in the constituency, 88 fewer than in October. The MP said the November 2012 figure is 335 lower than the November 2011 claimant count.
He added: “I want to see every person looking for work in South West Bedfordshire to find a job and I know that the construction of the A5-M1 link will really help businesses to grow locally and provide more jobs.”
