Knifepoint robbery in Houghton Regis

Two men were attacked and robbed at knifepoint in Houghton Regis last Friday evening.

The offence took place on June 19 in the recreation park behind the old Dog and Duck pub in the town’s Parkside area at around 11.30pm.

the victims were approached by two men who assaulted the pair and threatened them with a knife before making off with a mobile phone and bag.

The suspect carrying the knife is described as white, skinny build, aged between 18 and 20 and 5’ 11” to 6ft tall. He was wearing a grey hooded top and grey jogging bottoms.

The second suspect is described as mixed race, aged in his early twenties, and around 6ft tall. He wore a black hoodie and grey joggers.

Detective Constable Steve Francis said: “This was a terrifying incident for the two victims, who are understandably very shaken up.

“We would appeal for anyone with any information surrounding this incident to get in touch so we can ensure the offenders are brought to justice and prevent them from committing further offences.”
