Houghton Regis residents and car enthusiasts were all revved up last week as the Classic & Vintage Motor Show rolled into town for the third annual event.

The motor show featured 119 stunning vehicles which ranged from classic cars, military and motorcycles up to some present day last minute entrants.

The event was officially opened by the Town Mayor, Councillor Laura Ellaway.

To accompany the display of vehicles, there was a variety of stalls and small fairground- style rides for the younger members of the crowd.

Entertainment was provided by “A Voice In A Million” Fiona Harrison, who performed songs from the early 1930s to the 1960s.

Refreshments were provided in the Village Green Pavilion by Houghton Regis Women’s Institute.

A Houghton Regis Town Council spokesman said: “We would to thank everyone who came along and supported the event, and the exhibitors and sponsor, Houghton Regis Development Consortium, who helped make it such a success.”
