Emergency services scrambled to the aid of a pilot after reports a glider had crashed in a recreational ground in Houghton Regis on Saturday.
The hazardous area response team (HART), a response car and an ambulance raced to Tithe Farm Road at 3.48pm. An EEAST spokesman said: “Thankfully on our arrival it was evident the glider did not crash it simply made a text book emergency landing following take off.”
