Houghton Regis families answered the call for comic book heroes, which was the theme at the annual carnival on Saturday.
Tithe Farm Road was closed to traffic as the procession made its way from Houghton Regis Academy to The Green, where the Mayor performed the opening ceremony.
Attractions included Robbie Williams tribute act Millennium, a fire-breathing act, a dog show, Thornhill Majorettes, University of Bedfordshire Pipe Band and Donna’s Dancing School.
