Police are hunting a man who tried to abduct a 10-year-old girl from a Dunstable street yesterday afternoon.
The youngster was approached in Garden Road at about 4pm.
She was walking along by herself when the man, in a white vehicle, tried to get her inside. The terrified girl was able to get away and ran to a family member’s house.
Although upset, she was unharmed.
The man is described as white, around 5ft 3ins tall, old in age and balding with white hair and stubble, a deep voice and wearing a red T-shirt, blue shorts and possibly Nike trainers.
Beds police are investigating and checking CCTV cameras in the town but want like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Garden Road and may have seen anything suspicious.
