A teenager was punched in the face in the Grove Theatre car park as he waited to pick up his girlfriend on Saturday.
The man, 18, was approached by two men who tapped on his car window and made conversation with him –but then started to demand property.
Feeling intimidated, the man tried to drive off and as he did so was punched twice in the face, causing bruising to his right cheek and eye.
The would-be thieves fled from the car park empty-handed.
The first offenders is described as a white man, 16-19 years old, 6ft-6ft2ins tall, skinny build with short hair. He was wearing a navy jacket with the hood up and dark trousers.
The second was a light-skinned black man, 16-19 years old, 5ft10ins tall, thin build with a thin face. He was wearing a thick green coat, black gloves and was riding a dark coloured hybrid bike.
Det Con Ben Stone is investigating this case and would like to hear from anyone who was near The Grove car park at the time and saw these two reprobates hanging around, or knows who they are.
