News that homes in South West Beds stand to save an average of £65 on yearly energy bills has been welcomed by MP Andrew Selous.
Upto 330 households in his constituency are already benefiting from increased control over energy bills through British Gas smart meters.
The meters allow households to monitor gas and electricity usage and see howmuch it is costing them.
Mr Selous said: “When many are struggling to make ends meet, this is good news. Energy bills are a big worry for some households. Anything that can provide greater transparency and help people take control of costs and reduce waste is welcome.”
