A flat in Dunstabel was left with “20 per cent damage” after a fire on Thursday afternoon (March 7).
Two fire crews responded to an emergency call at 2.21pm to treat the fire in the second-floor flat in The Maltings.
It took four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one jet to extinguish the blaze at 2.57pm.
A fan was then used to ventilate the building to rid it of smoke.
No one was hurt, and the occupant was out.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
